This commemorative t-shirt celebrates the 70th anniversary of Norfolk & Western Class J 4-8-4 steam locomotive No. 611 and Southern Railway FP7 diesel locomotive No. 6133, both built in 1950. The N&W 611 is one of the most modern streamlined steam locomotives built, and was manufactured by the N&W Railway at its East End Shops in Roanoke, VA. The Southern 6133 represents an era of sleek streamlined diesels and was built by the Electro Motive Division of General Motors. The N&W 611 is owned by the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The Southern 6133 is owned by the N.C. Transportation Museum Foundation. Proceeds from sales will benefit both organizations.
The short-sleeved shirt comes in sizes SMALL through 3X, charcoal color only, and is 100% cotton. Shirts are $20 each.
