Chasing the Powhatan Arrow
A Travelogue in Economic Geography
Author Michael Abraham invites the reader to jump on his motorcycle and ride along with him as he travels the route the Powhatan Arrow once traversed. From Virginia to Ohio, Michael takes the reader on a journey that transcends time.
Michael duplicated the route of the legendary N&W train as closely as possible, traveling by motorcycle, car, and canoe. As he traveled, he gathered stories of local history, geographic phenomenon, and economic change. He then put it altogether in an enlightening, humorous, and highly readable narrative. Join Michael, and take a look at this extraordinary swath of America’s past, present, and future. Paper, 6x9, 500 pages, $18.95

I am! This book is very entertaining to me. The author has his special way of telling many stories of then and now. How towns were began... The impact of N & W, Norfolk Southern and the Powhatan Arrow along the tracks from the Atlantic shore of Virginia to the Queen City - Cincinnati. And how towns have faired since their birth. If you have ever lived "close to the tracks", you have to like it!
