Your purchase will help our Museum preserve and interpret its collections, support education in the community, and help to tell the story of transportation’s role in the history of Virginia and the United States. All orders are subject to the following terms and conditions. PLACING AN ORDER We encourage you to place your order online through the Virginia Museum of Transportation, Inc.’s Museum Store website. Your order is subject to stock availability. You will be notified if an item you have ordered is on back-order or out of stock, and you will have the option to cancel the order. No “rain checks” are available unless stated in writing on the website. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. You may browse our Museum Store website without registering or submitting any personally identifiable information. However, in order to have access to certain features such as ordering from our Store, subscribing to the Museum’s e-mail newsletter, or enrolling as a member, you must register with us online.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION Subsequent to your order, the Museum Store and/or the Virginia Museum of Transportation, Inc., may use your address information to send you correspondence or email promotions from the Museum. If you wish, you can opt-out at any time. We will not call you regarding promotions. All other information you provide when ordering is used solely for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing your order, we may use your contact information in order to notify you. Our SSL software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. REFUND, RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY Merchandise will be accepted for exchange or refund with the sales receipt within 30 days from the date of purchase, provided the merchandise is in saleable condition. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. If you wish to return your merchandise for exchange or refund, or if your merchandise is defective or was damaged during shipping, please contact the Museum Store Manager for instructions on how to return your merchandise. We make every effort to ship all in-stock items within 3 business days of receipt of your order. Please note that credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing. Using the email address which you give us, we will notify you when your order ships, or if an item is temporarily out of stock. All purchases are shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS). If ordering gifts for a special event or holiday, please allow 7 days for delivery. We will not be responsible for delays in shipping once the order has left the Museum. At this time, we are shipping only to US addresses.
